Ingredients:
- 2 and 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 3/4 cup white granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
-
Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
-
In a large bowl, using an electric mixer or a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, cream the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla extract.
-
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
-
Stir in the chocolate chips.
-
Using a cookie scoop or a spoon, drop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing the cookies about 2 inches apart.
-
Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centres are set.
-
Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring the cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.
-
Serve and enjoy!
